Jade + Sam

24th June 2017Grove House Roehampton

Before the wedding breakfast was served, the speeches took centre stage, with Sam, Jade’s father and the best man each taking their turn. It gave Jade and Sam’s summer wedding at Grove House Roehampton a clear, personal pause in the day, with the reception building around the people closest to them. The film had plenty to work with, from the midday ceremony through to the cake cutting and dancing later on.

Ceremony

Sam was at the ceremony in good time before Jade made her entrance, with the service beginning at midday. It was a simple, focused part of the day, centred on the vows and the moment everyone had gathered for.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

The speeches came before the wedding breakfast, which gave the afternoon a natural lift before everyone sat down to eat. Sam spoke, followed by Jade’s father and the best man, each adding their own part to the story of the day.

Evening

As the evening began, Jade and Sam cut the cake just before the first dance. Jade also shared a dance with her father, a quiet family moment that gave the evening section of the film real weight without needing to be overplayed.
