Long August daylight gave Wendy and Keith’s wedding at The Ferry House an open, summery feel, with the marsh views carrying through the day. Their celebration stayed close to the water and countryside around Harty, moving from morning preparations to an outdoor ceremony and a lively reception at the venue.
Morning
Wendy got ready at Marsh View near Mocketts Farm, while Keith was already at The Ferry House earlier in the morning. By the time Wendy left prep just after half twelve, everything was centred on the short journey to the ceremony and the start of the celebration.
Ceremony
Wendy arrived at The Ferry House shortly before one for their outdoor ceremony. With the reception taking place at the same venue, the day moved naturally from vows into time with their guests without a long change of location.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast began in the afternoon, with speeches held after the meal. Wendy’s son, Keith, and the best men all spoke, giving that part of the day a strong family feel before the evening celebrations began.
Evening
One of the standout moments came during the wedding breakfast, when a surprise performance was staged for the guests. After the cake cutting, Wendy and Keith had their first dance at half seven, followed by one of Keith’s favourite songs so everyone could join them on the dance floor.
