Sally and Simon brought their summer celebration to Cooling Castle Barn in August 2017, with the day centred on close people, personal words and everything happening in one place. The barn carried the story from preparations through to the evening, giving the film a clear thread without needing to leave the venue.
Morning
Sally prepared at Cooling Castle Barn during the morning, while Simon was also getting ready there ahead of the ceremony. With both of them at the venue, the film stayed close to the atmosphere of the barn as the day built towards the afternoon.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place at Cooling Castle Barn at 2pm. Simon arrived earlier in the day, and Sally’s entrance brought everyone together in the ceremony space before the celebrations moved on into the reception.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast began later in the afternoon, with speeches following after dinner. Sally spoke, followed by the friend who gave her away, Simon, and the best men, giving the film a strong run of real voices and reactions.
Evening
After dinner, the evening moved into the cake cutting and first dance. By then the barn had shifted from ceremony and speeches into a party setting, with Sally and Simon on the dance floor surrounded by their guests.
