Alex + Edgar

11th August 2017Chilston Park Hotel

The first dance led straight into ceilidh dancing, with Auld Lang Syne closing Alex and Edgar’s summer celebration at Chilston Park Hotel. It gave the film a clear final lift, not staged or overdone, just everyone pulled into the room as the evening gathered pace.

Ceremony

Alex arrived for the ceremony at two o’clock, with Edgar already there ahead of her. The service gave the film its formal centre, with the focus kept on the two of them, the vows, and the quiet reactions around the room.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

The wedding breakfast began at half past five, leaving the speeches until after dessert. Alex’s father spoke first, followed by Edgar and then the best man, giving that part of the film a natural build from family warmth into the sharper humour of the evening.

Evening

Cake cutting came before the first dance, giving the reception a clear change of pace before everyone moved onto the dance floor. The ceilidh brought the room together quickly, and Auld Lang Syne gave the night a strong, communal finish.
