Winters Barns has a way of keeping a wedding close together, with the ceremony, meal and evening all held within its Kent barn setting. For Candis and Adam, it gave their spring celebration in May 2019 a clear, relaxed flow, with bridal preparations beginning on site before everything moved through the day without needing to leave the venue.
Morning
Candis spent the morning getting ready at the Winters Barns salon, which meant the film could begin with those final preparations already tied to the place where the ceremony would happen. We started a little earlier so there was time to capture some of that before guests gathered and Adam arrived ahead of the ceremony.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place at Winters Barns in the early afternoon, with everyone already settled into the venue by the time Candis made her entrance. Keeping the ceremony and reception in one place gave the day a natural pace, with no travel breaks or changes of setting pulling attention away from Candis and Adam.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
Before the wedding breakfast, the speeches brought both sides of the family and the wedding party into the story. Candis’s father, Adam’s father, the best man and Adam all spoke before food was served, giving the film plenty of voices and reactions to build around.
Evening
The evening moved into the cake cutting and first dance, with the last part of the film focused on everyone gathering back around Candis and Adam. We stayed beyond the first dance to catch those first moments on the dance floor, rounding off the film with the barn full and the celebration properly underway.
