Elizabeth + Conor

4th August 2017The Orangery

The Orangery at Turkey Mill kept the ceremony and reception close together, which gave this August wedding a clear, settled shape. Elizabeth and Conor spent 4 August 2017 there, moving from the formality of the ceremony into dinner, speeches and the evening celebrations without leaving the venue.

Morning

Elizabeth got ready at her parents’ house in Rochester before leaving for Maidstone in the early afternoon. Conor was already at The Orangery ahead of the ceremony, so the film moved from the family setting of bridal prep into the grounds and rooms of the venue.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place at The Orangery at 2pm, with Elizabeth arriving shortly beforehand. Having both the ceremony and reception in the same place meant guests could stay together after the vows, with the venue carrying the day straight into drinks and the wedding breakfast.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

The wedding breakfast began later in the afternoon, followed by speeches after the meal. Elizabeth’s father, Conor and the best men all spoke, giving the film a strong run of real voices and reactions from the people closest to them.

Evening

The evening moved into the cake cutting at around 8pm, followed by Elizabeth and Conor’s first dance. A father and daughter dance followed as part of the evening, giving the final section of the film a quieter family moment before the celebrations carried on.
