Late summer gave Emily and Matthew’s wedding at Harty Estate a relaxed, open-air feel, with space for guests to gather outside and settle into the day. August suited the venue well, giving their film plenty of natural movement, outdoor moments and that gentle shift into a summer evening.
Morning
Emily spent the morning getting ready at the venue, so the story of the day could build in one place without rushing between locations. Matthew arrived later in the morning, giving us time to capture the final preparations, guest arrivals and those small moments before everyone came together for the ceremony.
Ceremony
Their ceremony was held outside, which gave the vows a very natural setting and kept the feeling relaxed. Emily and Matthew had time to take everything in, with guests close by and the summer setting doing a lot of the work without needing anything overdone.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
After the ceremony, guests moved into the wedding breakfast before the speeches began between the main course and dessert. The bride’s father, Matthew and the maid of honour all spoke, which gave this part of the film a strong mix of family perspective, humour and the kind of personal detail that makes speeches so valuable on video.
Evening
The evening moved into the first dance before the cake cutting, giving the reception a clear lift as everyone gathered back around Emily and Matthew. With the formal parts of the day complete, the film could settle into the reactions, conversations and dance floor energy that carried the summer night on.
