A wedding at a family or friend’s home carries a different kind of weight, because every corner already means something before the cameras arrive. For Eren and Sedef, that made their late-May celebration feel close, personal and quietly emotional, with the focus kept firmly on the people around them and the promise they were making.
By May 2021, spring was tipping into early summer, and there was a real feeling of the year opening up again. The house setting gave the film the feeling of somewhere known and lived-in, not hired for the day, which is exactly what made it so moving to look back on.
