Ernest + Elise

8th October 2022Brocket Hall

The Russian “Gorka” tradition in the speeches is the kind of detail that makes a wedding film feel rooted in the people in front of the camera. Elise and Ernest’s October wedding at Brocket Hall had that same personal thread running through it, with autumn around the estate and a day shaped by family, humour and a few stories that clearly mattered.

Morning

Ernest’s morning had plenty of the good, familiar energy that comes with getting ready alongside the groomsmen. There was also time with his dad, which gave the film a quieter layer before the pace of the wedding picked up. Those preparations worked especially well against the music, giving space for the family story to build later in the edit.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

The speeches brought out a lot of character, especially through Ernest’s dad’s words. His story moved from Western Siberia to Russia and Georgia, then into memories of family, travel and the Russian kissing tradition. It gave the wedding breakfast a real sense of family history without feeling formal or distant.
