Harriet + Rory

3rd August 2024Hoath House

Harriet’s dress reveal with her father and the page boys gave the morning a clear, personal anchor before everyone moved towards the ceremony. Harriet and Rory celebrated at Hoath House Estate in August 2024, using the estate’s mix of barn, house, lawn and marquee for each part of the day. It felt like a summer wedding built around family moments, outdoor vows and a relaxed BBQ reception.

Morning

Preparations were split across Hoath House Estate, with Harriet getting ready in Batts Barn and Rory in one of the rooms at the house. The page boys were part of both sides of the morning, including time with Rory before the ceremony and Harriet’s dress reveal with her father. Those details gave the prep coverage a strong family thread without needing anything staged.

Ceremony

The ceremony took place outside on the front lawn by the gazebo at Hoath House Estate. With guests gathered outdoors for the 2:30pm ceremony, the setting gave the vows plenty of space and a clear view back towards the house. It was a straightforward, open-air ceremony that suited the summer feel of the venue.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

After the ceremony, the reception moved into the marquee for the wedding breakfast, with BBQ food and side dishes served during the afternoon. Speeches followed the food, led by Rory, the best man and the bride’s father. Keeping the speeches after the meal gave that part of the day its own focus, with everyone settled in the marquee.

Evening

The evening centred around the cake cutting at around 7pm, with the day staying relaxed rather than moving into a formal first dance. With no band and no planned first dance, the later coverage kept its attention on guests, conversation and the natural close of the celebration. It gave the film a calm finish after a day that had been shaped by family, the outdoor ceremony and the marquee reception.
