This wedding film set out to hold onto the shape of Jamie and Charles’ day at Allington Castle, with castle preparations, an indoor ceremony and the barn reception all part of the story. Their June 2024 wedding had a clear summer feel, but the film stayed grounded in the real moments: the rooms upstairs, the ceremony hall, the speeches after dinner and the first dance that led into the evening.
Morning
Jamie and Charles both got ready at Allington Castle, using separate rooms above the ceremony hall. Having everyone already at the venue kept the morning close to the setting of the ceremony, with the castle rooms becoming part of the film before guests gathered downstairs.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place indoors at Allington Castle at 1:30pm. Jamie and Charles had both arrived earlier in the day, so the film could move naturally from preparation into the ceremony without leaving the venue.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
The reception moved to the barn on the castle grounds, where the wedding breakfast was served in the afternoon. Speeches followed after the food, with Jamie’s mum, Charles’ sister, Jamie and Charles all speaking, giving the film a strong run of voices from the people closest to them.
Evening
The evening began with the cake cutting before Jamie and Charles went into their first dance. A mother and son dance followed, then the DJ carried the night on in the barn.
