Late May gave Kirenjit and Lee a spring wedding with fresh colour around Lympne Castle and a clear sense of the day settling into place before the ceremony. With Kirenjit already at the castle from the night before and Lee arriving ahead of guests, the morning had room to breathe without feeling staged. The castle setting gave their film plenty of character, stone walls, open grounds and that particular Kent countryside feel in spring.
Morning
Kirenjit got ready at Lympne Castle, which meant the bridal preparations already felt connected to the place where everything else would happen. We also had a YouShoot camera with them for the parts of the morning before our coverage began, which helped keep those early moments in the story without turning the prep into a production.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place at Lympne Castle in the early afternoon, with Lee already there and Kirenjit just a short walk away from the rooms she had been getting ready in. That kind of setup always helps a film feel grounded, because the movement between prep, arrival and ceremony all belongs to the same place.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
Speeches came before the wedding breakfast, giving the reception a clear focal point before everyone sat down to eat. Lee, the best man and Lee’s mum all spoke, which gave us a strong mix of voices for the film and a more personal shape to the story than visuals alone could carry.
Evening
By early evening the day moved into the cake cutting and first dance, both filmed before our planned finish time. It gave Kirenjit and Lee’s wedding film a natural closing chapter, with the formal moments wrapped up and the room ready to move into the night.
