Klaire + Graham

7th August 2019Winters Barns

This wedding film was built around the way Klaire and Graham’s August day at Winters Barns moved between quiet preparation, an outdoor ceremony and a lively dance floor later on. It set out to hold onto the real shape of the day, the separate morning spaces, the speeches before dinner, and the live music that brought everyone close in the evening.

Morning

The morning began at Winters Barns, with Graham getting ready in the boys’ salon and Klaire in the bridal salon. Both parts of prep had their own pace, giving the film a chance to move between the two of them before the ceremony, catching the last details without pulling anyone away from the day.

Ceremony

Klaire and Graham chose an outdoor ceremony at Winters Barns, which gave that part of the film a clear sense of place. With everyone gathered outside, the vows became the centre of the story rather than just another point in the schedule.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

The speeches came before the wedding breakfast, after the first bread rolls had been served and before starters. Klaire’s father, Graham and the best man each had their turn, giving the film a strong run of voices and reactions before everyone settled into dinner.

Evening

By the evening, the day had shifted towards cake cutting, the first dance and the live band. The band played out on the dance floor, which gave the final part of the film movement, music and guests packed in close around Klaire and Graham.
