Laura + Calum

9th November 2018Chilston Park Hotel

Laura and Calum’s autumn wedding at Chilston Park Hotel had a clear focus on family, close friends, and the moments that carried real weight. November gave the day a calm, seasonal feel, with the story moving from a relaxed morning nearby into a ceremony and reception shaped around speeches, dancing, and time together.

Morning

Laura spent the morning getting ready at The Dog at Wingham before leaving for the ceremony in the early afternoon. It gave the preparations a separate chapter of their own, away from the main celebrations, before everyone gathered at Chilston Park Hotel.

Ceremony

Calum arrived ahead of the ceremony, giving him time to greet guests before Laura made her entrance. Their ceremony began at 2pm, which kept the day moving naturally into the reception without losing the feeling of occasion.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

The speeches came before the wedding breakfast, with Laura’s father, the best man and Calum all speaking before everyone sat down to eat. It is always a strong part of the film when the words come early like that, as the room is full of reaction, nerves, laughter and relief all at once.

Evening

By the evening, the day had shifted into cake cutting, dancing and a more relaxed atmosphere with their guests. Laura and Calum’s first dance led into a father and daughter dance, giving the night a clear emotional turn before the party carried on.
