Laura & Chris

31st August 2023Harty Estate

Laura and Chris were married at The Ferry House Inn in Harty, with their entire wedding day taking place at the venue.

Both Laura and Chris stayed on site the night before the wedding, allowing the morning to begin in a relaxed and unhurried way. Laura got ready with her bridal party in the Powder Room and Meeting Room, while Chris and the groomsmen prepared in the Coach House Room.

Chris arrived ahead of the ceremony to greet guests, with Laura walking down the aisle at 2.00pm. The ceremony took place outdoors, making the most of the setting at The Ferry House.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks before the wedding breakfast at 4.30pm. Speeches took place before the starters, with words from Chris’s stepdad, Chris, and Best Man Jamie.

After the main course, singing waiters surprised guests, adding a fun and unexpected moment to the afternoon. One of the group photo moments also featured smoke cannons, creating a standout visual highlight.

The evening celebrations began with the cake cutting at 6.30pm, followed by the first dance at 7.30pm, with guests invited to join the dancefloor shortly after.

Their dog, Frank, joined them for part of the day, spending time with guests between 1.00pm and 4.30pm before heading out during the ceremony.

It was a relaxed, personality-filled wedding at one of Kent’s most distinctive waterside venues, with everything flowing naturally from start to finish.
