Louise + David

15th July 2018Cooling Castle Barn

For Louise and David, Cooling Castle Barn in July 2018 was centred on music, confetti and a day that stayed close to the people around them. Their summer wedding kept everything in one place, from the final bridal prep through to the ceremony, wedding breakfast, speeches and first dance.

Morning

By the time we arrived at 12.30, bridal prep had been running at Cooling Castle Barn since the morning, so we filmed the final touches before Louise left the room at around 1.10. David was already at the venue with the best man, which kept the build-up contained before everyone moved towards the ceremony.

Ceremony

The ceremony began at 1.30, with a string quartet playing as the wedding party made their entrance. Louise and David also planned confetti twice, first as they walked back down the aisle, then again outside for photographs and film.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

Guests were called through for the wedding breakfast at around 3.45, with food served from 4.00. Speeches followed afterwards on a traditional top table, with the bride’s father, David and the best man each speaking before the cake cutting.

Evening

The evening moved into the cake cutting and first dance, planned for 7.30. Louise and David chose one acoustic first dance, played by the band, giving us a clear final moment to film before our coverage ended.
