Lucy + Lee

25th June 2016Reid Rooms

A Del Boy lookalike interrupting the bride’s father’s speech gave Lucy and Lee’s wedding breakfast the kind of moment nobody had to force. Their June 2016 wedding at Reid Rooms had plenty of those details, from preparations on site to a packed evening with dancing, cake and a disco dome bouncy castle.

Morning

Lucy got ready at Reid Rooms, with preparations starting early before the bridal room opened later in the morning. Lee was at the venue from late morning too, getting ready there ahead of the ceremony. Having everything in one place gave the day a clear shape without anyone needing to rush between locations.

Ceremony

Guests began arriving at Reid Rooms in the early afternoon before Lucy and Lee’s 2pm ceremony. With the ceremony, reception and evening all held at the same venue, the focus stayed on the people and the moments between them rather than travel or logistics.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

The wedding breakfast began later in the afternoon, with speeches held after the main course and before dessert. Lucy’s father, Lee and the best man all spoke, and the planned Del Boy interruption landed right in the middle of it. It gave the room a proper talking point and brought a very personal bit of humour into the film.

Evening

The evening moved into cake cutting, the first dance and a father of the bride dance. The disco dome bouncy castle added something different once the formal parts of the day had finished. It was exactly the sort of detail that made Lucy and Lee’s Reid Rooms wedding feel like their own.
