There was a calm, family-focused feel to Luxy and Jarrah’s summer celebration at Mount Ephraim Gardens. The pavilion, gardens and main house gave the day its shape, with each part of the venue carrying the story into the next.
Morning
We joined Luxy in the Bridal Suite late in the morning, with the preparations already underway and the ceremony close enough to keep everything on site. The bridesmaids had been getting ready earlier, and by the time Luxy was in the final part of prep, the pace had shifted towards the walk out to the gardens. Jarrah arrived ahead of the ceremony, which gave us time to follow both sides of the morning before everyone gathered at the pavilion.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place at the pavilion in the gardens at Mount Ephraim. Luxy made her way from the Bridal Suite to the ceremony space just before one o’clock, with guests already settled and Jarrah waiting. It kept the moment simple and focused, with the gardens giving the ceremony a clear sense of place.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
After the ceremony, the reception moved into the main house for the wedding breakfast. Speeches followed the meal, with Luxy’s mother and sister, Jarrah, the best man and a bridesmaid all speaking. It gave that part of the day a strong family thread, with plenty of voices adding to the story on film.
Evening
The evening moved quickly from cake cutting into the first dance. Luxy and Jarrah cut the cake at half past seven, then went straight into their first dance a few minutes later. We stayed on to capture the first stretch of dancing, giving the film a natural close once the party had properly begun.
