Micha & Ryan

7th May 2026Gosfield Hall, Essex

Micha and Ryan’s wedding at Gosfield Hall brought together two very different kinds of emotion: the quiet, tearful reveal with Micha’s dad and bridesmaids, then the high-energy celebration that followed. With confetti outside, cocktails flowing, live saxophone on the dance floor and a room ready to party, it was an Essex wedding that never sat still for long.

The Morning

By the time filming began, both sides of the preparations were at Gosfield Hall. Micha was getting ready with her bridesmaids while Ryan was downstairs putting the finishing touches to his suit and tie. Keeping everything at the venue gave the morning a relaxed flow before everyone came together for the ceremony.

The moment that mattered most came when Micha revealed her dress to her bridesmaids and her dad. It was a genuinely emotional first look, and one that carries even more weight in the film alongside her dad’s words later in the evening. The nerves and tears did not last for long, though. Once everyone had taken Micha in, the energy lifted and the day started moving quickly towards the ceremony.

The Ceremony

The ceremony began at 4pm inside Gosfield Hall, led by Sandra Nichols from the Essex Registration Service with deputy registrar Val. It was warm and relaxed from the start. Sandra kept Micha and Ryan smiling through the formal declarations, checked that their witnesses had been properly briefed, and even congratulated them for managing to say “lawful” rather than “awful”.

Matthew, Ryan’s best man, stepped forward with the rings before Micha and Ryan repeated the promises that made them husband and wife. There was a kiss, the signing, then a big introduction as the new Mr and Mrs Daynes. Outside, everyone was waiting for a confetti shot before the newlyweds and their guests headed into cocktails and the rest of the celebration.

The Speech

Micha’s dad kept his father-of-the-bride speech short, but there was no hiding what the day meant to him. He thanked everyone for coming, admitted how emotional he felt, then turned to Ryan and said, “You took her off my hands.” The laugh gave him just enough breathing room before he added the line that mattered: “I love her so much.” It was simple, honest and a perfect reflection of the reveal they had shared earlier in the day.

The Celebration

Gosfield Hall moved straight from ceremony into canapés and cocktails, with the cake cutting and her dad’s toast leading into the evening. Micha and Ryan had chosen “Sweet Disposition” by The Temper Trap for their film, and its lift matched the pace of a day that kept gathering energy as the light dropped.

By the time the first dance began, the room was ready to go. Daisy on Sax played several sets across the reception and joined the guests on the dance floor, turning the evening into exactly the sort of party Micha and Ryan wanted: lots of drinks, big reactions, constant dancing and very little interest in slowing down. It is the kind of wedding we love to film, with real emotion at its centre and enough energy around it to carry the story all the way through.
