Natalie + Oliver

9th July 2021Cooling Castle Barn

By half past one, Natalie was already at Cooling Castle Barn, stepping away from bridal prep to meet the registrar before the ceremony. It gave the film a calm, grounded start, with the barns, the July setting and the last few minutes before guests took their seats all setting the tone for Natalie and Oliver’s summer wedding.

Morning

Coverage began with Natalie getting ready at Cooling Castle Barn, so there was no rush between locations or long journey to build around. Those final prep moments had a practical honesty to them: details being checked, people gathering nearby, and Natalie moving from getting ready into the official part of the day.

Ceremony

Oliver was at the venue ahead of the ceremony, giving us time to capture the atmosphere around the barn before Natalie arrived for 2pm. With everything taking place at Cooling Castle Barn, the day kept close to the venue, which helped the film stay focused on the people, the reactions and the setting itself.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

The wedding breakfast began later in the afternoon, with speeches following dinner at around 6pm. That timing gave the room a chance to settle first, so by the time the bride’s father, Oliver and the best man spoke, the reactions felt relaxed and natural on camera.

Evening

The evening moved into the cake cutting before Natalie and Oliver’s first dance at 8pm. We stayed through to 8.30pm, which gave the finished film a proper close, from the last formal moments into the start of the party.
