Pippa + Nick

8th July 2023The Barn at Botley Hill

The saxophonist was part of the evening plans, which says a lot about the feel Pippa and Nick wanted for their summer wedding at Botleys Mansion. It was a July day with plenty built into it, from separate morning preparations to an outdoor ceremony, speeches after dinner and a dance floor that had room to build naturally later on.

Morning

Pippa got ready at the venue, which gave the morning a settled feel before everyone moved into the main part of the day. Nick spent the earlier part of the day at a nearby hotel before heading over ahead of the ceremony, giving both sides of the story their own space on film.

Ceremony

The ceremony was planned outside, with Nick arriving around 12.30pm before the 2pm start. That extra time before Pippa arrived is always worth having on film, with guests gathering, final checks happening and the setting starting to feel properly alive.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

The wedding breakfast began in the afternoon, with speeches planned for after the meal. Nick and the best man were both due to speak, giving that part of the film a natural shift from food and conversation into reactions, stories and the kind of lines couples tend to come back to years later.

Evening

The evening moved into cake cutting before the first dance later on, with a DJ, singer and saxophonist bringing the party together. Pippa and Nick kept the first dance details unplanned, which can often make it feel more relaxed on camera, less staged and more like them.
