Gaynes Park gave Rachel and Lee’s August wedding a clear sense of place, with the Orangery for the ceremony and the Mill Barn ready for the celebrations afterwards. It was a summer wedding with the day moving through distinct parts of the venue, from preparations at Honeymoon Cottage to the ceremony, meal, speeches and evening party.
Morning
Rachel’s preparations began at Honeymoon Cottage at Gaynes Park, giving the morning a settled base before the ceremony. Lee arrived at the venue ahead of the service, while Rachel was already on site before making her way to the Orangery.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the Orangery at Gaynes Park at 2pm. Rachel and Lee were married there with their guests gathered around them, before the celebrations moved across to the Mill Barn for the reception.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast began in the Mill Barn at 4pm, with speeches following after the food. Rachel’s father, Lee and the best man all spoke, giving the film a strong thread of real voices from the day.
Evening
The evening moved into the cake cutting at 7.45pm, followed by Rachel and Lee’s first dance at 8pm. It gave the final part of the film a clear change of pace, from the formal moments of the day into the celebration with everyone around them.
