Rhiannon & Luke

28th June 2025

Rhiannon & Luke at The Knowle Country House, Rochester

Morning & Preparations

Rhiannon spent the morning at The Knowle Country House, sharing emotional pre-ceremony moments with her mum and bridesmaids before stepping into her dress. Luke arrived around midday, calm and collected, ready for the 1pm ceremony.

Outdoor Ceremony in the Gardens

At 1:00pm, guests gathered outside to watch Rhiannon walk down the aisle. The vows were full of laughter and a few happy tears, sealed with a cheer and a kiss under the summer sky.

Reception & Speeches

After a relaxed drinks reception, guests were seated for the wedding breakfast at 3:00pm. Speeches began around 4:30pm — kicking off with a surprise trio from the bridesmaids, then the Father of the Bride (Kevin), the groom, and both best men.

Bridesmaids’ Speeches

First up was Rhiannon’s sister Megan, sharing warm and funny memories — from a classic bouncy-chair mishap when they were little to teenage nights out that became family legend. Two more bridesmaids followed with stories of friendship turning into sisterhood (including the intro that set Rhiannon and Luke on the path to today). They wrapped with a toast to the new Mr & Mrs Wilson.

Father of the Bride (Kevin)

Warm, funny and proud — Kevin blended childhood snapshots with a heartfelt welcome to Luke. Classic dad-stories, lots of laughs, and a room full of smiles.

The Groom

Luke’s speech mixed gratitude and comedy. He honoured loved ones who couldn’t be there, thanked both families, and rolled into instant classics — the box of beers story (a pack of eight with one left by morning; mystery solved: Kev had seven but “left one like a gentleman”), the moment Rhiannon once insisted “shrimp and mushrooms are the same thing”, blowing on ice cream to cool it, and a 2–3am balcony cold-nugget snack. When he turned to his bride, the jokes paused for a sincere tribute to her warmth, humour and determination.

Best Men ×2

From childhood pranks to the legendary “five-star” mishap that ended in a broken nose, the best men painted Luke as loyal, competitive and always at the centre of the fun — finishing with a toast to the future.

Shout-out

The flow of the day was seamless with Will the Wedding Host guiding guests from one moment to the next. We’ve worked with Will at The Knowle before — the perfect blend of humour and organisation.

Evening Celebrations

Cake at 6:00pm, a first dance around 7:30pm, then a touching father–daughter dance. After that, wall-to-wall dancefloor — big sing-alongs and bigger smiles.

A Personal Note

This one felt full-circle for me. In 2024 I filmed Rhiannon’s sister Megan’s wedding to Matthew at Cooling Castle Barn, also alongside Nicola Tulip. Coming back to capture Rhiannon’s day with the same family (and creative team) was a privilege.
