There was a relaxed, celebratory feel to Sabre and Chris’s wedding, with everyone gathered in one place at The Great Lodge in Braintree, Essex. Set in August 2018, it had the ease of a summer barn celebration, with the ceremony, speeches, wedding breakfast and evening all flowing through the same venue.
Morning
Sabre got ready at the venue in Anne of Cleves Barn, which kept the morning close to the place where the ceremony later took place. Chris arrived ahead of the ceremony, giving the day a calm build-up before guests took their seats.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place at Anne of Cleves Barn at 2pm. With Sabre and Chris both already at The Great Lodge, the focus stayed on the barn, the guests arriving, and the moment they came together for their vows.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
After the ceremony, the speeches came before the wedding breakfast. Sabre’s father, Chris and the best man each spoke before everyone sat down to eat, giving the afternoon a clear sense of celebration before the meal began at 4pm.
Evening
The evening moved into the cake cutting and first dance. Sabre and Chris had their first dance at 8pm, bringing everyone back around them as the summer celebration carried on into the night.
