Sophie and Jacob’s November celebration had a clear shape to it: bridal prep at home, a church ceremony in Fernhurst, then a full reception at Old Thorns Golf Club. Autumn suited the pace of the day, with the film moving from quiet preparation to speeches, dancing and fireworks later on.
Morning
The morning began with Sophie getting ready at home in Fernhurst before leaving for St Margaret’s Church early in the afternoon. That gave the film a calm first chapter, with the focus on the final preparations before the day moved into its formal ceremony.
Ceremony
Jacob arrived at St Margaret’s Church ahead of the ceremony, with Sophie following shortly afterwards for the 1:30pm service. The church setting gave this part of the film a clear sense of place before everyone made the short journey on to Old Thorns Golf Club.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
At Old Thorns, the reception moved into the wedding breakfast at 4:30pm. Speeches followed after the meal, with Sophie’s father, the best man, Jacob and Jacob’s grandad all part of that section of the day.
Evening
The evening centred on the first dance at 8pm before the party carried on with the band. Later on, fireworks were kept as a surprise for the guests, giving the film a final burst of energy after the dancing.
