Vaulty Manor kept everything close together that August afternoon, with prep, ceremony and reception all happening in one place. Susie and Paul’s summer wedding in 2016 had a calm, practical flow to it, the kind of day where the venue became the backdrop for every part of the story.
Morning
The morning began at Vaulty Manor, with bridal prep underway from 10am. That gave Susie’s side of the day time to build steadily before the 3pm ceremony, without any rush between locations.
Ceremony
By mid-afternoon, everyone was gathered at Vaulty Manor for the ceremony. Susie and Paul kept the focus in one place, which meant the move from getting ready to the ceremony felt clear and connected on film.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast began at 5pm, with speeches following afterwards at around 6.30pm. Susie’s mum, Paul and the best man all spoke, giving that part of the film a strong run of voices from the people closest to them.
Evening
The evening moved on through the cake cutting and first dance, with the first dance placed around 8pm. After the structure of the meal and speeches, it gave the film a natural shift into the party side of the night.
