Amy & Joseph

28th August 2025Cooling Castle Barn

Amy and Joseph’s wedding at Cooling Castle Barn was full of laughter, warmth, and those real, unfiltered moments that make a day unforgettable. The weather had other plans though – about 30 minutes before the ceremony, the skies opened. What was meant to be an outdoor celebration quickly moved indoors, but Amy stayed calm and smiling throughout, never letting the change of plans affect the mood. It became one of those moments that perfectly summed up her personality – relaxed, grounded, and full of joy.

The Morning

The morning began inside The Moat House at Cooling Castle Barn, where Amy got ready with her bridal party. There were lovely first looks with her dad, her grandad, and her bridesmaids – each one bringing a mix of nerves and emotion. Across the courtyard, Joseph arrived late morning and spent time greeting guests as they arrived, setting a friendly, upbeat tone for the day ahead.

The Ceremony

With the ceremony moved indoors, the barn’s warm lighting and rustic beams created an intimate atmosphere. As Amy walked down the aisle with her dad, the emotion in the room was palpable – quiet smiles, a few tears, and that unmistakable excitement as two people say “I do.” The readings and vows were heartfelt and genuine, with a perfect balance of sincerity and humour that reflected them both beautifully.

The Reception

After the ceremony, the rain cleared and guests made their way out into the courtyard for drinks, laughter, and plenty of candid moments. The team at Cooling Castle Barn kept everything running effortlessly behind the scenes, and it’s always a pleasure to film here. We also had the joy of working once again with Nicky from N Photography – a good friend and someone we love collaborating with. The flow of the day felt easy and natural, with the two of us capturing every detail from different angles without ever intruding on the moment.

The Speeches

The speeches were full of energy, warmth, and just the right amount of cheek. Amy’s dad had the whole room laughing with stories from her childhood – including the time she used her brother’s broken leg as proof of her sense of adventure. Best man Matthew followed with classic brotherly banter and plenty of laughter, while maid of honour Ciara shared a heartfelt look back on years of friendship and nights out that have now become family stories. Joseph closed with his own speech – full of humour and honesty, recalling his slightly chaotic proposal in Mexico when he accidentally arranged everything at the wrong hotel before Amy arrived.

The Evening

The evening began with cake cutting followed by the first dance, before one of the highlights of the night – a brilliant father–daughter dance that started slow and emotional before switching into a lively mash-up routine that had everyone cheering. The DJ took over from there, filling the dancefloor with nonstop music and energy that carried late into the night. It was one of those weddings that reminded everyone how much joy can live in a single day.

From the Couple

After the wedding, Amy sent over this lovely feedback: “Ryan and his colleague was amazing! Ryan helped make us feel so nature infront of the camera we had the best day and we can’t wait see it all over again!” Hearing that means the world – it’s exactly why we love what we do.
