A Wedding to Remember: Bethany & Lewis at Cooling Castle Barn
Some wedding days just sparkle with energy from start to finish – and Bethany & Lewis’s celebration at Cooling Castle Barn was one of those unforgettable days.
From the first email, Bethany’s warmth and excitement were clear. She reached out after finding us on Instagram, eager to capture every moment of her big day – from the morning prep to the evening party, surrounded by 97 daytime guests and a further 150 joining for the evening. Her vision was simple:
“I want to capture everything like a fly on the wall.”
Planning the Perfect Film
The journey with Bethany and Lewis started well ahead of the wedding. We worked closely to make the process smooth and stress-free, from sorting contracts and deposits to chatting over Teams and email about their preferences. As plans came together, we helped them select a package that included a cinematic trailer, a full documentary edit, and a USB delivery for easy sharing and safekeeping.
Bethany’s attention to detail shone through, especially when it came to music choices for the edit. She was drawn to films with heartfelt voiceovers and gentle instrumentals – the kind that let real moments and words take centre stage. For the trailer, she picked “The Vow” by Ruth Anne, a track that perfectly matched the emotion of their day.
The Big Day
On 15th May 2025, Cooling Castle Barn was alive with laughter, happy tears, and a sense of celebration that filled every corner. Our team blended into the background, capturing everything from the bridal prep to the last dance. With two videographers on hand, we made sure not a single moment was missed – and even managed to sneak in some stunning drone shots of the venue.
One of the loveliest parts of working with Bethany and Lewis was their kindness and thoughtfulness. They made sure we were looked after, even checking in about dietary requirements for the day (vegan for Ryan, none for the second shooter – always appreciated!). It’s these small gestures that make the job so rewarding.
Reliving the Memories
After the wedding, Bethany and Lewis were quick to share their thanks – and to pass our details on to friends and family. (Word of mouth is the best compliment we could ask for!) As we worked on their film, Bethany kept in touch about the music and style, trusting us to create something timeless and personal.
The final edit included a cinematic trailer – a 3–5 minute highlight reel set to their chosen track – and a full documentary film with natural audio, voiceovers, and all the big moments as they happened. Everything was delivered on a USB stick, making it easy for them to revisit the day whenever they like.
A Few Words from Bethany
“Thank you so much for capturing it, can’t wait to see it! … Was so lovely to finally meet you, we’re both super excited to see our wedding video. It’s so true when everyone says it goes by so quickly!”
Bethany and Lewis’s wedding was a joy to film, and we’re so grateful they trusted us with their memories.
If you’re planning your own wedding and want a film that feels relaxed, unobtrusive, and full of genuine moments, we’d love to chat.
