Ellie and Luke’s wedding film set out to hold onto the feel of a November celebration at Cooling Castle Barn, with the old stone setting, the barns and the change into evening all part of the story. It was an autumn wedding built around close family moments, a 1pm ceremony, speeches after dinner, and a first dance with a secret song that only the two of them knew about.
Morning
The morning began at Moat House, right on site at Cooling Castle Barn, which kept everything close and calm before the ceremony. Ellie was there from early in the day, with the barn just a short walk away and the sense of the venue already around everyone as preparations got going.
Ceremony
Luke was due at the venue late in the morning, giving time for guests to gather before the 1pm ceremony inside Cooling Castle Barn. The setting did not need much explaining on film, with the brickwork, beams and enclosed feel of the barn giving the ceremony a clear sense of place.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
After the ceremony, the afternoon moved into the reception at Cooling Castle Barn, with the wedding breakfast beginning at 3.30pm.
