Emma + David

30th July 2019Cooling Castle Barn

There was a proper summer buzz around Emma and David’s celebration, with Cooling Castle Barn giving everyone space to settle in, catch up and get ready for the party ahead. July suited the day well, with the morning at the barn leading into a church ceremony before everyone returned for food, speeches and dancing.

Morning

Emma spent the morning getting ready at Cooling Castle Barn before leaving for the ceremony just before 1pm. It gave the start of the film a clear sense of place, with the barn as the backdrop for those last few calm minutes before the day moved over to the church.

Ceremony

David arrived ahead of the ceremony at Hoo St Werburgh Parish Church, with Emma due just before the 1pm start. The church setting gave their vows a more traditional feel before everyone made their way back to Cooling Castle Barn for the reception.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

The wedding breakfast began in the afternoon, with speeches saved until after the meal. Emma and David had a full line-up, including the bride’s father, the best man, the maid of honour and David, and his speech included surprise birthday cakes for two members of the wedding party.

Evening

After speeches, the evening moved into cake cutting and the first dance, with guests arriving from around 7:30pm. Emma and David had choreographed their first dance, followed by a father and daughter dance, giving the evening a clear set-piece moment before the dance floor opened up.
