By the bar in the main barn, Georgina and Christopher had planned a heart filled with flowers as the backdrop for their Guest Cam messages. It was a small detail, but it said a lot about their September wedding at Cooling Castle Barn, personal, relaxed and built around the people sharing it with them. With the Moat House, the barn and the evening celebrations all in one place, the day had a clear sense of home for everyone arriving in autumn.
Morning
Georgina got ready in the Moat House with her maid of honour and her mum, just a short walk from where the ceremony would take place later in the day. Christopher was also at Cooling Castle Barn, getting ready in the venue suite with the best man and his father. Having both sides of the morning at the same venue gave us time to capture the separate nerves and small moments before everyone came together.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place at Cooling Castle Barn in the early afternoon, with Georgina leaving the Moat House shortly before it began. The setting gave the arrivals a calm, contained feel, with guests already gathered and the barns ready for the celebrations to move straight on afterwards. It was one of those ceremonies where the venue did not need much explanation, everything was already centred around the couple and the people closest to them.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
After the ceremony, guests stayed at Cooling Castle Barn for the wedding breakfast, with everyone seated before food was served later in the afternoon. The speeches came after the meal, which gave the room time to settle before Georgina and Christopher heard from the bride’s mother, Christopher himself, the best man and the groom’s father. Those parts of the day are always important for film, because the words, reactions and laughter often carry the story better than anything staged could.
Evening
The evening moved into the cake cutting and first dance, with the Guest Cam giving guests a chance to leave their own messages for Georgina and Christopher. The flower-filled heart near the bar became a natural little corner for those recordings, adding another layer of voices to the film. It gave the finished story more than just the formal moments, capturing the people around them in their own words.
