For Lauren and Tommy, Cooling Castle Barn gave their June 2018 celebration a clear shape: preparations on site, Tommy arriving by wedding car, and plenty of close family moments woven into the day. Summer suited the barns, with the ceremony, wedding breakfast, speeches and evening dancing all happening in one place.
Morning
Lauren got ready at Cooling Castle Barn, with bridal prep starting early at 8am. Before the ceremony, Tommy arrived in a wedding car, and there was time to film him with the best men and ushers as buttonholes went on and the final details were sorted.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place at Cooling Castle Barn at 1:30pm. With both preparations and the ceremony at the same venue, the film could stay close to the build-up and then move straight into the moment Lauren and Tommy saw each other at the front.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast began at 4pm, with the speeches saved until the end of the meal. Lauren’s father, Tommy and the best man all spoke, giving the film a strong run of voices from the people closest to them.
Evening
Evening guests arrived from 7pm, with the cake cutting and first dance following later. Lauren and Tommy had their first dance together, followed by dances with Lauren’s father and Tommy’s mum, giving the evening a personal family finish.
