Louise & Harry at Cooling Castle Barn
The Morning
Louise and Harry’s day began at the stunning Cooling Castle Barn, where the summer sunshine set the tone for what would be a truly beautiful celebration. Louise spent the morning getting ready at the venue with her bridesmaids, surrounded by laughter, music, and a lovely sense of calm anticipation. Her dad John and brother Johnny joined later in the morning, both clearly proud and emotional as the ceremony approached.
Ben joined me as second shooter for the day, capturing Harry as he greeted guests arriving at the barn – relaxed, smiling, and full of excitement to see everyone together.
The Ceremony
The ceremony took place outdoors, perfectly framed by a floral arch to the rear that made the setting even more romantic. A Thousand Years played as Louise made her entrance with her dad, a moment that drew a few tears from guests watching on.
During the ceremony, Harry’s dad read a touching poem that beautifully reflected the love and connection between the two families. As Louise and Harry exchanged vows and rings in the golden sunlight, the emotion in the courtyard was palpable – a moment that truly captured the heart of the day.
The Reception
After the ceremony, guests gathered in the courtyard for drinks, confetti, and plenty of laughter. The sunshine carried through the afternoon as friends and family celebrated, with Cooling Castle’s gardens offering the perfect backdrop for photos and candid moments alike.
Dinner was served inside the barn, followed by a wonderful series of speeches that were heartfelt, funny, and full of warmth. Johnny spoke proudly about his sister, sharing beautiful memories that had everyone smiling. Maid of honour Megan brought both laughter and emotion with her stories, while best man Joe and groomsman Callum delivered speeches that had the whole room cheering. Harry’s own words rounded the evening speeches off perfectly – a mix of sincerity and humour, especially when he promised to always share his food with Louise.
The Evening
As the sun began to set, the couple cut their cake before heading to the dance floor for their first dance. The barn came alive with music, cheers, and celebration as friends and family joined them, creating an incredible atmosphere that carried through the night.
A Personal Note
Louise and Harry’s wedding was a perfect reflection of them – heartfelt, joyful, and beautifully relaxed. From the emotional ceremony to the laughter-filled speeches and golden-hour celebrations, it was a day full of love, light, and unforgettable moments.
