For Maria and Brad, Cooling Castle Barn gave their summer celebration a clear shape: morning prep on site, an indoor ceremony, then speeches, food and dancing all in one place. It was the kind of June wedding where the day could settle into the venue naturally, with everyone close by and the main moments moving neatly from room to room.
Morning
Maria spent the morning in the bridal suite at Cooling Castle Barn, arriving early with her bridesmaids to get ready at the venue. Brad was also on site before the ceremony, preparing in one of the rooms there, which meant the build-up stayed close and connected rather than split across different locations.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place inside Cooling Castle Barn in the early afternoon. With Brad already at the venue and Maria having spent the morning there, it gave the ceremony a calm, grounded feeling, with the focus firmly on the two of them and the people gathered around them.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
Speeches came before the wedding breakfast, which always gives that part of the day a nice sense of occasion before everyone sits down to eat. Maria’s father, Brad and the best man all spoke, giving us plenty of real voices and reactions to carry through the wedding film.
Evening
The evening moved into cake cutting, first dance and then a father and daughter dance, all around the same part of the night. A saxophonist played alongside the DJ, which gave the reception a lift and brought a different energy to the dance floor as guests settled into the party.
