July gave Megan and Matt’s wedding at Cooling Castle a proper summer feel, with the day centred around the venue from the morning through to the evening. Megan was already there early, which meant the build-up stayed rooted in one place before guests gathered for the 2pm ceremony.
Morning
The morning began at Cooling Castle, with Megan getting ready on site before the ceremony. Matt arrived later, ahead of the guests, giving the venue time to settle into the shape of the day before everything moved towards the ceremony.
Ceremony
Megan and Matt’s ceremony took place at Cooling Castle at 2pm. With everyone already gathered at the venue, it had a calm, focused feel, keeping the attention on the two of them and the people closest to them.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
After the ceremony, the reception continued at Cooling Castle, with the wedding breakfast beginning at 4:30pm. Speeches followed after food, with the bride’s father, Matt and the best man each speaking as the day moved into the early evening.
Evening
Evening guests arrived before the cake cutting at around 7:30pm. Megan and Matt then moved into their first dance at around 8pm, with a father and bride dance also forming part of the evening celebrations.
