Natalie + Tony

21st April 2023Cooling Castle Barn

April gave Natalie and Tony’s wedding that fresh spring feeling, with Cooling Castle Barn looking calm, green and ready for guests to gather. They spent the morning on site at The Moat House before moving across to Fathom Barn for a 2pm ceremony, keeping everything close and relaxed without the rush of travel.

Morning

Natalie got ready upstairs at The Moat House while Tony was downstairs, which made the morning feel connected without giving too much away before the ceremony. It is always good for film when both sides of prep are in the same place, as the little contrasts between nerves, laughter and final checks can sit together naturally in the edit.

Ceremony

Their ceremony took place inside Fathom Barn at Cooling Castle Barn, with guests settled in before Natalie made her entrance. The barn setting gave the vows a grounded, intimate feel, with the focus kept firmly on the two of them and the people closest to them.

Speeches and Wedding Breakfast

The reception moved into Tithe Barn for the wedding breakfast at 4.30pm, followed by speeches after food. Natalie’s father, Tony and the best man all spoke, giving us plenty of real audio for the film, the kind of words that help bring a wedding story back to life years later.

Evening

After the speeches, Natalie and Tony cut the cake before the evening began to shift into party mode. Their first dance was planned for 8pm, kept simple and unforced, before the band helped carry the night on with everyone gathered around them.
