Mid-April brought that fresh spring feel to Cooling Castle Barn, with the barns and courtyard giving Rosie and Peter’s day a calm, grounded setting. Rosie was already at the venue in the morning, which meant the story could stay in one place as the day built towards the ceremony. By the time guests gathered for the afternoon, everything felt settled and ready without needing to rush.
Morning
The morning was based at Cooling Castle Barn, with Rosie getting ready on site ahead of the 2pm ceremony. Keeping prep, ceremony and reception all in one place gave the film a strong sense of continuity, moving naturally between the quieter morning moments and the wider setting of the venue.
Ceremony
Peter arrived late morning, giving plenty of time for guests to gather before Rosie made her entrance. Their ceremony took place indoors at Cooling Castle Barn, with the focus kept firmly on the vows, reactions and the people closest to them.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
The wedding breakfast began at 4.30pm, with speeches woven between the courses rather than saved until the end. Rosie and Peter both spoke, alongside the bride’s father, the best man and sisters from both sides, giving this part of the film a mix of humour, family history and properly personal moments.
Evening
After the wedding breakfast, Rosie and Peter cut the cake before the evening moved towards the dance floor. Their first dance was planned for around 8pm, giving the day a clear final chapter as everyone gathered around them to start the night.
