The Wedding of

Danni + Ben

17 September 2015

Today was the day that Danni and Ben were to finally tie the knot on their gorgeous wedding day at the beautiful & unique venue of Kent Life in Maidstone. Located in the Garden of England Kent, it offers incredible farm-like surroundings. Boasting numerous function rooms the venue is certainly equipped for the perfect wedding. Kerrie and Jo, the venues wedding coordinators are absolutely amazing and will do everything they can to ensure the best day is had by everyone! We truly look forward to seeing them.

We met Ben, our lovely groom who was dressed impeccably in the Village Hall. It was my first sight of Ben that made me realise today was going to be an extremely 1950’s stylised, piercing and tattoo filled day. It was amazing to see the ladies arriving in vintage dresses, beehive hairstyles and colourful shoes. The men also looked great and it really did make a pleasant change to see such a stylistic group of people. I wish I had known because I would have loved to get involved!

With a short walk from the carpark to the reception Kent Life offers a tractor ride from A to B and it’s free! It’s the little extras at this place that really do make all the difference. With guests making their grand tractor entrance it was just time to check in with Ben before the big moment was soon to arrive. His groomsmen were great and with cigarette and pint in hand he was taken perfect care of. With Danni on her way, guests were soon seated and we were all awaiting her arrival. Anxiously waiting at the front Ben stood, he stood and he stood but still no arrival. With her absolute bride provocative intact Danni kept us on our toes, but finally she arrived.

Everyone took to their feet and in walked our beautiful flower girl who was completely and utterly enjoying herself on that aisle. Spreading petals from her basket she led the way for Danni’s three bridesmaids who looked gorgeous in their pink flowery dresses.
With the smallest drip of sweat unleashed from the top of his head and the final glimpse to his groomsmen… it was time. Accompanied by her father Danni entered and didn’t she look amazing. With a knee length wedding dress and her amazing locks of brown and pink hair she left the guests speechless. It was certainly a moment for many that will not be forgotten.

Under the iron archway the couple stood hand in hand as they became wedded. It was a lovely ceremony and felt very personal with family and friends all looking upon such brilliant individuals. The music in which was chosen by the couple to exit was fantastic. I will forever remember the way that beat kicked in and the couple walked along that aisle to the legendary Fleetwood Mac’s – Everywhere.

With the biggest formality complete the guests had some time to catch up with old friends with beverages in hand before the wedding breakfast. The weather held out and it was a perfect temperature for today’s celebrations. A few rounds of Jenga later and it was soon time to tuck into a delicious meal. This allowed Ryan and I plenty of time to pop across the road to The Malta Inn, Maidstone for a gorgeous pulled pork burger. Ooooh it was scrumptious and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Ryan for not spilling one piece of food on his shirt. You did Talking Fly proud!

With the speeches complete the evening guests began to arrive and they definitely didn’t let the dress code down. It was fantastic and the party mood was soon approaching. Danni and Ben were fortunate in having a very talented friend who baked a fantastic cake that really was excellent. It almost seemed a shame to cut it but nevertheless the couple delved in and I’m certain it tasted incredible.

We headed straight onto the first dance where the couple took to the dancefloor and swayed in the moonlight. A few songs later I must give a special mention to the best dancing couple I have ever witnessed at a wedding. A fantastic duo who remained on that dancefloor for a large proportion of the evening with their swing routines, putting smiles on many faces.

We wish you all the best as the new Mr and Mrs Jefferies. Thanks so much for having us, we thoroughly enjoyed being a part of your day and we can’t wait for you to see the video!
