Kassie and Chris brought their summer celebrations to Preston Court with a day that had plenty of character, from a church ceremony nearby to the carousel waiting back at the venue. August gave the day that relaxed Kent countryside feel, with music, movement and a reception that made full use of Preston Court’s charm.
Morning
Preparations began at The Bell Hotel in Sandwich, with Kassie and Chris both getting ready there before heading over to Preston. It gave the morning a calm, practical shape, with everyone close enough to the church for the day to move naturally into the ceremony.
Ceremony
The ceremony took place at St Mildred’s Church in Preston, just a short distance from the reception venue. A string duo played in the church, which gave the service a real sense of occasion without taking anything away from the vows themselves.
Speeches and Wedding Breakfast
Back at Preston Court, guests sat down for the wedding breakfast in the afternoon before the speeches followed later on. The bride’s father, Chris and the best men all spoke, giving us plenty of reaction, laughter and little moments to work into the film.
Evening
The evening moved from cake cutting into dancing, with a father and daughter dance before Kassie and Chris had their first dance together. With the carousel on site and the string duo continuing as part of the reception, Preston Court had plenty of detail and atmosphere for the later part of the film.
