The Wedding of

Natasha + Jamie

13 August 2015

I began the day with a slightly longer journey than usual. I left my house around 8AM and headed south bound towards Kings Cross and Sittingbourne. I met Ryan and we made our way to the first and only destination of today’s wedding, Winters Barns. Having been to the venue prior to today we were eager to return to such a hospitable and friendly place. They pride themselves on a personal and intimate day willing to go that extra mile to meet all needs of their guests. Located in Canterbury, Kent the venue is brilliant and Liz the venue coordinator is truly amazing!!

I was looking forward to meeting Natasha, Ryan had already told me that she was a really sweet girl and I was sure that we were going to have a great day. We arrived at the Barns and one of the many brilliant things about the venue is their Salon suite, ideal for the bridal party to get ready. With high ceilings and lots of light it always makes a great room for the opening scenes in our highlights video. It was here where we met Tasha’s bridesmaids, mum Tracy and photographers David and Jodie of Crystal Memories Photography.  With 6 bridesmaids’ hair and makeup undergo, it was surprisingly very calm and the atmosphere was really rather pleasant. With champagne and strawberries, sandwich and wrap platters in addition to stacks of beautifully fresh fruit the summer sunshine was beaming in and it was the perfect start to this very special day.  Natasha was so lovely, offering us food and drinks and making sure we were all good to go. I would have loved to join in the party vibes but I’m not sure how the videography would have gone down after a few glasses of champers!

With hair and makeup almost complete, the girls looked stunning. From their elegant up-do hairstyles complimented by dainty white flowers to their long floating dresses, they all looked fabulous. Of course Tasha stole the show with her figure hugging shoulderless dress and diamante belt. She looked simply stunning and I couldn’t wait for Jamie’s reaction as she walked down the aisle.

In the meantime it was time for me to set up the equipment for the outside ceremony. The weather couldn’t have been better and the sun shone beautifully across the elegantly sculptured grounds. Having an outside ceremony is always a risky decision but Tasha and Jamie certainly got it right today.

I met Jamie and immediately visualised what a perfect married couple these two lovely people were going to be. Such sweet and endearing personalities.

The bridal party were seconds away and with us all in place, it was finally time! Months of planning, organisation and stress and here their wedding day had finally arrived. First to walk along the aisle was Tasha’s sister followed by her five other bridesmaids. Accompanied by her father, Tasha looked amazing and left her guests speechless. She looked even better than when I saw her in the morning and by the look on Jamie’s face, it was certainly an image he would never forget.

The day was racing by quicker than we’d ever imagined and the guests were dined with a delicious three course meal, it was soon time for the speeches. Cameras in position, the speakers equipped with microphones and we were in for a treat. Today we had speeches from Tasha’s father, of course the main man, our groom himself and best men Matt and Craig. They each had the guests in giggles and well done to Matt and Craig who gave us all a great laugh throughout with quality banter on top form.

The evening began to draw in and it was nearly time for us to leave but the real party was just about to get started. Guests gathered round and with the light spotlighted in the centre it was first dance time. Dancing along to one of my favourites, Thinking Out Loud by the incredible Ed Sheeran they swayed in the disco lights whilst fiends and families looked upon them proudly. We really enjoyed our day and you looked after us so well. Not only did we get a meal, we were offered cake, bacon rolls, sweets and much much more. We cannot thank you enough for having us and we wish you all the best as the new Mr and Mrs Fulbrook.
